Our AimVital medical research costs a lot of money and the Rett Syndrome Australian Research Fund (run by a group of volunteers who have daughters with Rett Syndrome) organize Angel week annually when angels will be sold to raise funds. Angel ornaments $5, key rings $5, pins $5 and wristbands $3 are sold at Ed Harry Menswear Stores and Mr Minit Stores across Australia in an effort to keep the momentum for groundbreaking research moving at a pace. Our Goal
In anticipation of such a breakthrough, the Australian Research Team has forged collaborative research links with other groups in Australia and around the world with a view to being able to undertake clinical drug trials in the next few years.

On the 19th April Kimberley ran in the Canberra Marathon to help raise awareness and money for the Rett Syndrome Australian Research Fund. The inspiration for completing the 42 km run comes from my good friend Kate Jennings, a young girl with Rett Syndrome. I first got to know Kate and her family in 2000 when I worked as one of a team of therapists helping Kate overcome her disabilities so that she could attend a mainstream school to develop her academic and social life.
